English teacher in TurkuWhat type of job are you looking for? Teaching English language. What nationality are you? Iranian What languages do you speak (and at what level)? Persian is my first language but I have been learning English since I was 11 years old. I have studied English Language translation at university and have 5 years experience in teaching and translating. I am very fluent in speaking English and have taught different systems like: American Headway, Interchange ( Third Edition),and Top Notch which is the newest and the best system in teaching and learning English. I have a very command of teaching the topics in these books and also I can manage to teach all the four skills in language learning. What country or area are you looking to work in and why? Turku in Finland. What countries have you worked in? I am working in Iran. What countries do you have a visa to work in? I am going to get my student visa in a few weeks. I was accepted in the University of Turku in the field of marketing but I would like to continue my teaching job because I love it. What field do you currently work in? I am working as an English Language instructor and translator. What fields have you worked in before? I am 27 years old and I have been working as an English Language instructor and translator since I was graduated. Which is now 5 years. What qualifications do you hold? I am very sociable and I can establish friendly relationships with people specially my students very fast. I am very energetic, very active , and enthusiastic in teaching. I am very meticulous and assiduous in my job and always make sure that my students understood every thing completely. I feel great when I see that I can transfer my knowledge and information to other people and help them to achieve their goals. I even help my students to solve their personal problems too because I feel that we are good friends and should help each other at difficult times. I can explain and teach every skill of English language very clearly and easily and make my students enjoy listening to me. All in all my job and my students are part of my heart and i appreciate God for giving me such talent and ability to others. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? In my point of view they are equally important. Because by formal education students can be prepared for studying in formal situations like studying at foreign universities and by learning skills they can use their language very well in formal and informal situations. These two factors are some how intertwined and I personally believe that teachers should handle both of them. Students need to communicate with other people who speak English as a first language or foreign language. This is the most important reason of learning a language for those who want to survive in a foreign society. Describe the benefits of working with others Working with others ,in group for example is very beneficial for everybody because you can learn many things from your teammate. You can help others to remove their deficiencies and they also help you to do the same about yourself. Decision that are made in groups are more logical and lead to success. You can find many good friends by working with others. Describe the benefits of working alone Those people who work alone are mostly introverted and they can do every thing alone because maybe they think that sometimes working in group may waste their time. But I think that would depend on the team that you work with if the people who are working together are heterogeneous that problem would not happen. What was your worst working experience? Fortunately I was never dissatisfied with my job and never had a bad experience because I always be careful about everything that I do and the way that I behave with other people. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? You can learn many thing by teaching.1) be patient 2) do not be judgmental and critical all the time. 3) listen to people carefully and try to understand their feelings and emotions. 4) try to show your understanding without any fear and communicate with people easily. You will learn to how become a good psychologist and manager because you need them to become a good teacher. What unique skills do you have? Strong sense of management. communicating well with other people. The powerful ability to transfer my knowledge to others and explain the subject matters not only by my tongue but also by my heart. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? I love teaching and I would do that for the whole of my life. But I have some other plans for my life too. I love learning and I would break into business and become a businesswoman and business adviser What are the most interesting aspects of your field? As I mentioned above being with other people, helping them, feeling happy and sad with them, caring about them, teaching them, learning from them,... are some of the aspects of teaching.
