What field do you currently work in? i work in the hotel segment in the position of sous chef in the continental section. What fields have you worked in before? i have only worked with the hotels. What qualifications do you hold? i have completed my diploma in hotel management. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? skills. but education is always the base of a construction. they both are equivalent in a proffessional life. Describe the benefits of working with others working with a team helps ourselves to excel in all the phases. it makes us more creative, effecient and responsible. the learning curve is on the ascending side. Describe the benefits of working alone working alone gives us the confidence. What was your worst working experience? during my first year of my job, i had to confront the union problems on the day of a huge function back in my hotel. on the same day i had to stand alone on the ranges, and made sure that the hotel reputation is not hampered. i received the accolades from my chefs , general manager and the guest for my effort. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? if i am team leader, i make sure all the suggestion from my colleagues to be taken into confidence before giving my final verdict. i am a team player. What unique skills do you have? my experiences in the past hotels, education and my family upbringing has given me the confidence to adapt into any circumstances irrespective of the geographical or linguistic barriers. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? i had always dreamt of working with a michellin star rated chef, under whose guidance and principles i can make myself into a better proffessional. apart from this i would like to receive positive or negative views for the jobs i had completed. lastly i should be financialy free. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? the best part of the field that i have to run as soon as i hit the ground. we have to be creative and ready to face any challenges put forward to us. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? i am still learning from this field. but the long duty hours on the duty is on a hard part.
