What type of job are you looking for?

I am looking for employment as a demi chef de partie or a 2nd cook in a resort or restaurant.

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

English read write and speak the language proficiently

What State are you looking to work in and why?

Florida but specifically marco island as i can arrange accommodation there

What field do you currently work in?

kitchen

What fields have you worked in before?

kitchen, garde manger, continental hot kitchen

What qualifications do you hold?

secondary school certificate(S.S.C) higher secondary school certificate(H.S.S.C.E) 3YR DIPLOMA IN HOTEL MANAGEMENT FROM THE INSTITUTE OF HOTEL MANAGEMENT CATERING TECHNOLOGY AND APPLIED NUTRITION( IHMCT&AN)recognized by the Government of India

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

both go hand in hand but in a specialized area as the kitchen practical knowledge is most important as the work involves use of machines and equipment which can be quite dangerous for an unskilled person, a formal education grooms a person to correctly interact with his/her colleagues it also instills the basic knowledge which is something that when fortified with the correct skills will ensure success to the person

Describe the benefits of working with others

life is a learning process, in my present job i have interacted with different nationalities and have learned a lot from them, a kitchen is dependent on its team. a simple quote would be ' many hands make lighter work'

Describe the benefits of working alone

you have only yourself to depend on , you can time yourself, you know your limits and you know the best way u can deliver the product on time

What was your worst working experience?

working 22 hours straight on Christmas eve

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

to look for a silver lining in all drawbacks and problems

What unique skills do you have?

5 yrs experience with an Italian cruise company has given me a good hands on experience with Italian cuisine

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

working in marco island

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

different produce from all over the world

What are the least interesting aspects of your field?

the various cuisines of the world

why should we hire you?

I have been working since 2003 , i have a 3 yr diploma in hotel management, 2 yrs work experience at Goa Marriott resort India and have been working as demi chef de partie for Costa crociere and Italian cruise operator
