I have worked in elderly acute medicine, orthopeadics, spinal surgery, acute admissions, dermatology. I have venepuncture and cannulation experience and can perform ECG. I have been visiting the Gambia for many years and have own property there now. My children are ready to complete there education and also want to live in The Gambia. ECG recording. ILS. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? I feel both are of equal importance. The skills are needed to perform your role but you need the education to understand the reasons for your actions Describe the benefits of working with others Working with others is impotant so that knowledge can be shared and so giving the best care to patients/clients Describe the benefits of working alone Working alone can be beneficial as it gives you the opportunity to build a good relationship with patient/client. The opportunity is also to allow you to develop problem solving skills What was your worst working experience? The worst working experience is being short staffed in working area and so finding it difficult to give full cares to patients/clients What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? I have learnt that it is most important to listen to patient/client and use the information given as well as physical assessments. What unique skills do you have? I am a caring thoughtful nurse with good listening skills. I work well in a team and individually. I enjot builing good rapports with patients/clients. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? I would consider my dream job as a job in The Gambia in an area where I would be able to give good care to the people that required it. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? The most interesting aspect of my job is meeting different people and learning new skills. What are the least interesting aspects of your field?
