| Questions: A photo submission required in a job application? I am a new graduate registered nurse in Georgia and I have had NO luck finding a job so all this nurse shortage is a load of CRAP (well for inexperienced RNs anyways). ANYWAYS, I have gotten desperate looking for a jobs I probably have applied to over 50 nursing positions and have been turned down for lack of experience. I finally find a job that is considering me that I found online. It's Mollen Immunization Clinic (never heard of it but someone suggested on a crediable nursing website in a forum, I told you I'm desperate). There was a place on the application for an OPITONAL photo. I thought this was kind of weird and because I didn't know the company and I have a slight phobia of my picture on the internet I decided against it. So after applying for the position they contacted me for a resume, sent the resume then they contacted me again and said that I left out my photo and to send that also. So I'm kinda confused because none of the hospitals, nursing homes, etc that I have applied to asked for a photo. Is this a way to get race, age, etc or is this just weird? I already sent the picture because I really, really, need the job but have you ever heard of this, a photo for a nurse position? |
