The role involves providing IT support, both remotely and onsite, to a portfolio of clients across professional services industries. You need to have a proactive attitude to identify problems as well as opportunities, take ownership of issues, build relationships with clients and be a key part of our growth. The successful candidate will have a broad experience of supporting multiple platforms from peripherals , desktops, hardware and software, to servers. Experience in building and managing Windows server, Exchange, VMware and Active Directory is essential. Thorough knowledge of networking and server security is also required. Essential requirements: » In-depth Windows server build and management expertise (Windows 2003, 2008) » Experience of building and maintaining Active Directory domains » Working knowledge of DNS, DHCP, group policies and share permission » Strong Exchange Server build and management skills » Working knowledge of RAID configuration and maintenance » Strong understanding and working knowledge of networking principles, firewalls, switches, VPN and wireless devices » Excellent customer-facing and problem-solving skills » Ability to achieve targets, communicate technical informational to a non-technical audience and good time-management skills Desirable: » Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications » Understanding of IP technology » Working knowledge of SQL administration » Knowledge of some web technologies Duration: Permanent or contract Hours: Flexible but minimum 20 per week Rate: Dependent upon experience and type of contract |
