Looking for work malia 2011 Megan Dell and Alex ArnellWe are two lively and bubbly female university students looking for bar work in Malia for summer 2011 from end of may or june to the end of august or beginning of september. We both have experience of both bar work and waitressing, which makes us confident in this form of job and good at chatting to customers. We are also comfortable at working any hours, day or night. We are both of British Nationality, and can speak fluent English, and basic french and spanish. Neither of us have worked abroad before, but have had experience of working in busy bars and restaurants in England and are positive it won't take us long to adapt to the bars abroad. We are look for work in Malia, Crete. This is because of the fact it is one of the best destinations for clubs in europe whilst having a beautiful location, this means it will have a lively and pretty atmosphere to match our characteristics. Megan Dell- I have been working part-time in a local polish cafe whilst at university and also in a local night club on a night time in the heart of newcastle which is a busy nightlife everyday of the week, which would mean i have the experience to adapt quickly to the nightlife of malia. i have also worked in other bars for the last year and a half and have also got 3 and a half years of waitressing experience. Alex Arnell- I am currently at university working in a local pub and have 2 years previous experience for bar and waitressing work, which I have loved and would now like to try working abroad for the summer. Qualifications Megan Dell- recieved 13 C-A* G.C.S.E's, basic foundation in health and hygience certificate, 3 A-levels- Law, Media an English Language, and currently studying Law at university. Alex Arnell- recieved 10 C-A* G.C.S.E's, 3 A-levels, and studying law at university. We believe both formal education and experience are important as you can learn something new through either way. they can both help you to learn fast which is what is needed in a bar work experience abroad. Through education and work experience we have both learnt that it is important to be able to work on your own when needed and also to be part of a team and be as helpful to that team as possible, we believe we can do both aspects as quickly and sufficiently as needed of us. We also have other skills which are unique to us as being able to multi task quickly whilst being able to be polite and kind as well as fun loving with customers and always remember that the customer is always right. Malia is our dream summer job as we would loved to be surrounded by sun, sea, sand and working in the main nightlife area in bars so we can meet new friends and make the customers as happy as we are to be there.
