nurseWhat type of job are you looking for? I am looking for a job that is related to Nursing and Healthcare. What nationality are you? I'm a proud Filipino. (Philippines) What languages do you speak (and at what level)? I have a good command in English and Filipino both in writing and speaking. What country or area are you looking to work in and why? I'm looking forward to work in Greece, Australia, Spain, United States, Italy and in the Bahamas. I want to work in one of those countries because of its beauty and history. Others countries I haven't mentioned possesses beauty of its own and history as well but it's just that the countries I've mentioned captured my interest the most. But I'm not closing my door for other job opportunities in other countries though. What countries have you worked in? I've worked only in the Philippines, it will be a great experience to work in other country and learn from its people. What countries do you have a visa to work in? None, but I'm currently applying for a student visa in United Kingdom which is still in progress as of today October 18, 2009. What field do you currently work in? I'm not working as of the moment. What fields have you worked in before? I have worked as a nurse before. What qualifications do you hold? I have a degree in Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a prestige school in the Philippines (San Beda College). I am also a licensed United States Registered Nurse in California, I was able to accomplish it only this year I took the test last March2009. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? If I could choose both, I will because neither would work alone effectively and sufficiently. If I have no choice but to pick one I think the more valuable between the two would be the formal education. I'm speaking from the profession I practice. In Nursing, you cannot function as such if there is no formal education and the license that enables a person to be a nurse in a particular country/countries. And also through education the person learns the dos and don't s, and acquire the skill through constant practice and learning. Describe the benefits of working with others Working with others generates more thoughts, knowledge, improvements towards the job that needs to be done. Also in team work, the collaboration of the whole group intensify the quality of work and lessen the time spent on a specific project/job because there is delegation and organization of work and responsibilities. Describe the benefits of working alone In working alone, there is freedom to work at own pace and freedom to do the job however he/she wants the work to be done. It could also mean that there is no need to consult other people or there is no bypass of authority. In working alone, a person need not to worry about other's work ethics. What was your worst working experience? I've experience in group project that only one or two generates input and the others was also acknowledge in the success of the project even though they did not exerted effort or just minimal effort to contribute. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? That there is no limit as to what I can and should learn because Nursing and just like other profession is a continuous learning process. What unique skills do you have? I can work alone and work in a group. It doesn't matter if I'm alone or not. I'm also driven to get the job done and well, in a way that I'm very proud and satisfied with my work. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? I have always wanted to be either an Emergency Room Nurse or an Operating Room Nurse. I want to work in a place where there is action and excitement. I want to be able to practice thinking in a fast and effective way, discern which patient needs prompt action, to be able to have that "clinical eye" expert eye in foreseeing something before it gets worse. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? The most interesting part of Nursing is the action entails in the job. You have to be alert and always on-the-go to save lives and/or make lives of patients be less with pain and worries. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? For some areas of Nursing, it could get a bit boring because there can be routine work. Describe yourself? I am a fun-loving kind of person, I enjoy talking to people and learning from them in the process. I also like music and singing. I can say that I am a flexible person in the sense that I am not only one thing. I can be talkative and quiet sometimes. I want to explore other possibilities in life, I don't want to hinder myself from learning and going to places. How can potential employers contact you?
