Kleinfelder's Guam Office is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join their team. We are seeking a candidate who have extenisve experience working in coralline and volcanic deposits. The candidate shall also have an in-depth knowledge of local conditions and engineering practices, and the ability to provide high-end technical support on complex projects. As a technical resource and role model, this leadership position requires an excellent attitude and an ability to communicate effectively with clients, regulators, junior staff and multidiscipline project teams. Strong technical and client management skills are required. Also, financial/business management background experience is expected as well as experience with planning and job-getting strategies and providing assistance with interview presentations and proposals and facilitates teaming with other firms. This position involves field investigations, engineering analyses and designs associated all of Kleinfelder’s market segments including Transportation, Municipal and State/Federal facilities. Responsibilities include developing field investigation, engineering analyses, development of design drawings, construction specifications, estimated costs and coordination with other team members. During project construction, responsibilities include submittal review, construction observation and addressing changed field conditions. Experience: A minimum 6 - 10 years of related experience (at least 10 years of experience is strongly preferred) or 4 years related exp with MS or 2 years of related experience with PhD. Education: A BS or MS from an accredited college/university is preferred with a major in civil or geotechnical engineering. Professional Registration (PE) in Guam a plus, but not required.
