Formal education or skills and why? Formal education is extremely important in delveloping one's foundational knowledge of a particular field. Formal education can only take a person so far. The ability to maximize one's skillset and willingness to make the extra effort is what truly set people apart. Describe the benefits of working with others Working with others provides an enthusiastic working environment. Co-workers are their to encourage one another, bounce ideas around, and provide feedback. A positive working environment can yield some of the most efficient and effective workers. Describe the benefits of working alone Working alone is great because you do not have to focus your work around the intention of pleasing one particular individual, being your boss. It provides you with the autonomy to work at your own pace and set your own personal goals. If you succeed it can be extremely rewarding, and if you fail you know you have noone to blame but yourself. What was your worst working experience? Working on an auditing project as an intern without my boss being around. I was two weeks into the internship and was still learning the service and system of the particular group I was working with. My manager asked me to research and rectify issues with their DDA account and to come to him if I had any questions. Little direction was provided and I had a great deal of questions. He proceded to take the next week off, making it very challenging to complete the task at hand. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? Keep and a smile on your face and always stay positive. Hard work gets rewarded, if not in the short run then in the long run. Developing good habits early will carry over throughout your career. Finally, treat others the way you want to be treated, a good referral could be the difference between a million dollar deal or client or no client at all. What unique skills do you have? An innate ability to read people and their character. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? CEO/President of ESPN Inc. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? Following the markets and seeing the impact certain events have on the economy both at a micro and macro level. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? Dealing with losses.
