I am a hotelier and currently working as a Club Concierge at the Executive Lounge of the Shangri-la Hotel in Dubai,United Arab Emirates.Executive Lounge only exclusive for the guest who are staying in Club and suite room. My job description includes receptionist does check-in and check-out process, handles cashier and handles VIP guest needs.Prior to that I was a Guest Relations and Busiiness Centre officer in the same company. What fields have you worked in before? I have worked as a Legislative Aide to the Councilor and does adminitrative job which includes schedule & arrange meetings, does reservation of meeting rooms,filing,fax,and documentations and does related additional job. What qualifications do you hold? I am a college graduate and holding Bachelors degree and Board Passer. hard working, assertive,efficient,poactive, attention to details and very organize.I can work wih minimum supervision, good in microsoft programs. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? I believe that both has a positive factors that would help you grow and build your personal growth as a human being. By formal education you can develop your skills and use it for daily life and help balance your lifestyle.By means of skills you would be able to show and use it for development. Describe the benefits of working with others In my experience working in the hotel I have meet and work a lot of people with different nationality and it make me more understands the other peoples belief and lifestyle, it has also develops friendship and made me a better person which widen my horizon in dealing and working with different person. Describe the benefits of working alone Working alone is okay if work needs more focus that would benefit more to concentrate a lot. What was your worst working experience? When a lot of guest came for check-in and the hotel runs full with back to back rooms and guest are upset. Situation is getting worst as they became impatient. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? That having a job doesn't end there you should love and learn more in doing it so that whenever worst comes to worst you can depend on yourself and be more productive each day. What unique skills do you have? dancing and can cook well. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? To become a Director of a prestigious company and build my own business one day. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? I meet and deal with different kinds of people everyday. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? When guest complaints a lot and he just wants to get free things which is not needed. If given a chance how many months you can join the company?
