I am looking for either a fashion specialty retail job as Visual Merchandiser or a General merchandise manager position for supermarket or store manager for retail shops. What languages do you speak (and at what level)? I speak Fluent English/Tagalog-fluent/Arabic-fair What State are you looking to work in and why? I want either in any of the ff: Washington, California, Guam or Hawaii because I like those places among all the states in the US. What field do you currently work in? I am currently work for a Supermarket here in the Marshall Islands as General merchandise Manager and Buyer at the same time. What fields have you worked in before? I have worked before for a Specialty Fashion European and US brands in the Middle East(UAE, KSA, Oman, Jordan, Kuwait, Bharain, Qatar) and in Mardid , Spain. What qualifications do you hold? I have 18 years practical experience in Visual Merchandising and I am a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Commerce Major in Accounting, Graduated 1988.I have gas trainings in many locations in visual merchandising, like , Montreal , Canada, London, Denmark, Spain to name a few. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? Skill is more valuable but good education is needed to make you grow more on your career. Describe the benefits of working with others You will be able to learn different cultures of different walks of life.Its very interesting to learn other cultures and traditions of different nationalities in a multi-diverse environment.The more the easier. Describe the benefits of working alone Working alone make you bored sometimes but you can focus on what you do. What was your worst working experience? The worst experience that i had was , when I was locked inside the shop without them knowing that i was still there in the window , changing mannequins display, that made me stayed the whole night in the shop, Huh! What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? The most important lesson i have learn from my career is to be patient, work hard and be focus and committed and must love what you to do and you will surely succeed. What unique skills do you have? My unique skill is of my being creative that made me excel in Visual Merchandising, be it Fashion apparel, Accessories, home Products, Gourmet, etc. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? My dream job is a Visual Merchandising Director of a Fashion Brand In US What are the most interesting aspects of your field? I have skills in decorating home, Flower arrangements, I can host/emceeing, skill in Visual Merchandising and visual displays, been heavily involved in opening new stores in many countries, I have traveled a lot and that's the most exciting among all. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? Least interesting in my field is when we open new stores in many locations, starting merchandising with the site not yet been fully complete the construction but merchandising starts.
