English or ScienceWhat type of job are you looking for? I am looking for Primary Teaching job. I can teach either English or Science in the primary level. What languages do you speak (and at what level)? I speak English and Filipino languages proficiently. I can speak a little of Thai and Spanish languages. What State are you looking to work in and why? I prefer Florida or California because I've been there before and the places will be familiar with me. However, if I would be assigned in another State, I wouldn't mind it. What field do you currently work in? I am currently teaching Kindergarten kids in Thailand. What fields have you worked in before? I worked as a Primary Teacher for almost 20 years. I handled English, Science, and Mathematics, subjects. I also worked as a College Professor for 2 years. I handled Teaching Environment and Research subjects. What qualifications do you hold? I got the following: *Philippine Board Examinations for Teachers license. *California Basic Education Skills Test Result. *Teaching of English for International Communication Test Result. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? I consider them both. Formal education is very important because people should be acquainted with the global trends of education nowadays. Moreover, theory per se won't be enough without the actual skills that each person should acquire and master. Describe the benefits of working with others Working with others make us aware of the different cultures and beliefs of other people. We are able to understand people more. Working with others make our job easier because I do believe that two or more heads are better than one. We come up with better brighter ideas when we brain storm with others. We always learn from one another. Describe the benefits of working alone There are times that we need to dig deeper about ourselves. This is the time that we concentrate more and focus more on our own ideas. We try our best when we do not have anyone to depend to. There are even times that we could work fast when we are alone rather than with a group. What was your worst working experience? I always recall my first year of teaching as my worst work experience. During that year, I was still coping on disciplining kids with love, and doing paperworks in a systematic and organized way. I can recall how I had sleepless nights trying to finish paperworks. Later on, I learnt how to do everything in a systematic and organized way. I learned to play with kids while making them realize my rules and regulations in the classroom. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? I've learned that education is a continuous process. Every year of my teaching career, I learn a lot of new things. I also learn from my students each day. I realized how noble my profession is because everyday of my life I instill knowledge and virtue upon the heart and minds of my students. I also learnt that each student possesses the same attitude although they are of different races. They are all willing to learn as long as you know how to show them love and care. What unique skills do you have? I am systematic and organized person. I have the knack in dealing with children and making them feel comfortable while learning. I can make every lesson enjoyable to them too. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? My dream job is to be able to teach in any school in the United States. It was my childhood dream to work as a teacher in America someday. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? I deal with kids who have joyful hearts. They do not know resentments and hatred. They are always innocent and loving. I love dealing with children because I feel fulfilled whenever I am with them as their teacher. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? The children come and go. Every end of the school year, I have to say goodbye to them. However, what makes me keep going is the fact that I will have a new set of students to look forward to. Why should an employer consider you as a teacher? Because in every school I worked with, all of my employers wouldn't want me to go. I actually go to other countries when I have to leave my school and whenever I am back home, they rehire me. It is a proof that I am not a bad employee. I always give my heart when I work in any school. I do my job with joy and love. I am flexible and is willing to learn new things everyday.
