Fiber Optic Cable Technician/TesterDuties and responsibilities • Attends to daily tasks related to installation, testing and commissioning of core services; fiber to the home (FTTH). • Assists in more complex tasks related to the integration of core services elements (FTTH)/ systems as per contractual specifications. • Takes delivery of eqipment at site and carries out the physical verification of packaging; attends to the movement, storage, rack preparation and erection tasks under supervision and guidance of superiors. • Assists in the resolution of minor issues/concerns as required. • Checks the readiness to accommodate equipment delivery and installation. • Attends the daily task related to system/cabling/wiring and splicing. • Conducts testing on core services equipment and systems as instructed. • Conducts proper project documentation and maintenance of logbooks, progress reports, equipment and circuit drawings, charts, maps etc. • Acting on behalf of immediate supervisor whenever he is on leave.
