| Career pay for teachers in GuatemalaI need some advice. I fell in love with a woman from Antigua Guat and she wants to move back there from the USA. I am American and have been a teacher here in the K-12 system. I need a decent paying job in order to pay my bills back in the USA. Does anyone know of any jobs in education that would pay at least $1000 US per month? If not how about any job an educated American could get that would pay decent? Thanks for you input. Rob |
| Hi Rob: I'm also a teacher in the States. From my reasearch I don't think it very likely you would find something as high paying as $1,000/mo.Salaries I've found are anywhere form $400.to $800. per month. There may be some that are higher but that would probably be at the university level. Good luck! |
| you'll get paid at least that much at a few of the international schools. if you don't mind teaching the rich kids in guatemala city, it can definitely be done. i did it last year. it wasn't the ideal population for me but i enjoyed the experience and was able to pay all my bills. |
