I'm prefer to work in the any caribbean country namely (British Virgin Islands/ Bahamas. I support the Caribbean Community and the free and unrestricted movement of skills and services provided by member states. Furthermore, this will enable me to play my part in strenghtening our Community Integration. What countries have you worked in? I've only worked in Guyana. What countries do you have a visa to work in? I do not have a visa, but when given the job I will access a visa. What field do you currently work in? I'm an early childhood(Kindergarten) teacher. What fields have you worked in before? I've been an early childhood(kindergarten) teacher for more than 12 years, it was my first job.I'm also a part-time lecturer at the Cyrip potter Collage of Education for teachers What qualifications do you hold? My qualifications are as follows: 1. seven(7)CXC subject..General proficiency..Grade's (1-3) 2. Trained teacher's certificate (Cyril Potter College of education) 3. Bachelors Degree in early childhood education(University of Guyana) Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? formal education is classroom based, provided by trained teacher.I strongly believe that classroom-based teachers have a certain level of training in educational philosophy, effective teaching strategies, classroom management, and content. Thus formal education has serious implications on our future generation. It will enable them to become fully functioning literate adults, who are the greatest assests for the development of any nation, economically, socially,physically and intellectually. Describe the benefits of working with others Working with others is great for motivation, ideas and moral support in the work place. While we each have our individual goals, we are able to hold each other accountable for goals that we set as individuals. Moreover, we can collaborate and create goals as a team. This will promote growth and job satisfaction, building relationship and networking Describe the benefits of working alone I think it depends on the type of work. working alone gives more autonomy and power to decide. it enables acting according to one's judgment without facing criticism. Nevertheless, while working alone, eperts advice and consultations with others can be fruitfully availed but the ulitimate decision will be with one person. What was your worst working experience? My wosrt working experience would be in the second year of my working life, when I attened the teacher's training collage. It was during my first classroom assesment, I was so nervous that day, and everything went wrong. I went home that afternoon and it was only faith and the love for my job brougt me back to work the next day. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? I truly believe that you have to love, what you do before you can honestly dedicate your self whole heartedly to the children whom you are placed with daily to instill knowledge and acceptable morals in our society. What unique skills do you have? Other than teaching early childhood, I'm a hair dresser, and a part-time phonics teacher. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? I love children, I intend to study psychology, my dream job is to become a Child psycologist What are the most interesting aspects of your field? The most interesting aspects of my field is to mould the young mind and help them to have a smooth transition to the next level, Piaget believes that Early childhood years are the most critical years of an individual life.
