I am looking to work in Haiti. I have a personal connection with Haiti, having been raised there. I am looking new challenges and the opportunity to continue to make a positive impact. Formal education or skills and why? Having both skill and a formal education, I believe that theses two components are complementary and therefore do not see the need to choose between one or the other. Each provides an important component that cannot be neglected. Formal education is important for the broader perspective, for the underlying knowledge that helps fosters creativity. Skills are important for the execution, for quality, for attention to details. Which is more valuable can vary depending on the industry but the best option still is to have both. Describe the benefits of working with others -development of leadership skills -Having multiple points of view/perspectives in managing a project or discussing/solving a problem/issue. -Sharing of the tasks which can save time -Opportunities to learn from others -Development of interpersonal skills Describe the benefits of working alone -Ability to manage every aspect of project/ issue/problem/ (creation/execution/delivery/ quality control ) -Ability and flexibility with pace of work. (a faster pace can be set which could result in better time management) -Opportunity for self growth and for learning to make executive decisions. -Opportunity for creative thinking What was your worst working experience? My worst experience was being in situation lack of respect and misinformation almost compromised a project. Thankfully adjustments were made which salvaged the situation. However, I feel that respect is one of the most important factors that needs to be in place in any workplace. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? I have learned that adaptability is crucial. That working under pressure, thinking on one's feet is essential to success. I have learned that this is possible through confidence and that confidence is built from the combination of knowledge and skills. I have learned that adaptability also means being open to knew things and understanding that learning never stops. What unique skills do you have? -Language skills : native fluency in 4 languages -Leadership skills: working with others in a challenging environment. -Teaching skills: ability to impart knowledge, to make it interesting, to find creative ways to communicate and teach. -Creativity in designing lessons/projects -Motivation: Drive to excel in all my endeavors, pride in my work and my team, desire to always learn something new. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? A job in which I am challenged. A job in which I can be creative A job in which I can grow and learn. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? -That it changes continuously, new challenges, new concepts , new ideas, new solutions for the new problems. - That I continue to learn and improve. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? Though I think all aspects of my field are interesting because I enjoy what I do, I think that the "paperwork" which can sometimes be quite sizable would be the lest interesting but nonetheless necessary aspect of my work. Why you ? Because I have the drive, the passion, the qualifications, the skills. Because I am a leader and a team player. Because I'm a fast learner. Because I adapt. Because I'm creative.
