We have always been interested in working on a Holiday Island. Hawaii, Caribean, Mozambique, Bahamas. We absolutely love the Hospitality Industry, meeting new people and working hard. We are friendly, outgoing, love working with people, entertaining, haveing fun and working to the best of our ability. We have about 4-5 years experience from waitressing to owning our own Bar & Restaurant. We have worked at a Resort before, long hours, hard work and Managing the Resort. What countries have you worked in? South Africa, Zambia, UK. What countries do you have a visa to work in? None We are currently looking for a new opportunity to work abroad and gain as much experience as possible. Couple Management is what we want to do as long as what we can. We are able to get a Visa for any country from SA. What field do you currently work in? Lizelle - Currently in Finance Dylan - Fleet Management What fields have you worked in before? All hospitalty jobs. Owned our own Bar & Restaurant. Finance. Reception. Construction. Fleet Management. General Management. What qualifications do you hold? Matric. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? Skills. I think it is more of an advantage of having the skills hands on. It's better learning that way as there are so many different positions in the Hospitality Industry that if you learn them by doing it everyday it becomes second nature. Then someone studying for 2, 3 or 4 years out of a book and not really knowing how to handle a situation when it eventually becomes reality. We are by nature people's persons and all our education on Hospitalty is what we've learned by doing it day to day. We love it and would love a opportunity to get back into it any day. Describe the benefits of working with others Its is such a great feeling meeting someone new, to get to know them, make friends, find out where they are from culture etc. Its such an exciting life to meet different people all the time. The world is such a big place and there are so many amazing people out there, that when you actually get a chance to meet someone like that, that is when you know that this type of work is worth it. Describe the benefits of working alone It gives you some time to yourself. To get to know yourself better, in what ever situation you are in. It is sometimes good to have a break from alot of people to just you yourself, but I think it could get abit lonely at times. What was your worst working experience? I wouldn't say there was ever a Worst experience. But if I had to think of the most intense experience we've had, it was when we were working at the Resort in Ballito (SA). There was a huse entertain festival that got cancelled on the last minute and about 1500 people from the festival came to the resort and only Dylan and myself were working and had to cater for, serve drinks, entertain all the guests. It was such a intense experience that we have never been through, but that just made our working experience much more stronger. That now we can handle pretty much any situation. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? Always be friendly, polite, honest. Work hard and enjoy every moment of it. What unique skills do you have? We are both very diverse. We can both fit into any inviroment, situation that we are put in, and can deal with it very well. We love new challenges, opportunities and experiences. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? To one day own our own resort on a Holiday Island. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? Entertaining the guests and always keeping them happy. Doing your best to make their stay the best and most enjoyable time ever. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? Long hours. It does eventually get you abit tired, but once in that routine all is good. A day or so off a week will definately balance out. Why we want a Couple Management Job?
