Honduras, I have been to Honduras over 30 times over the past 7 years. I have work and did lots of teaching and would like to to this on a fulltime base now. I have run a very small NGO Healthy Horizons for Children and Families (formerly called Paramedics Without Borders) What countries have you worked in? I have been in Africa, Indonesia, Guatemala What countries do you have a visa to work in? None at this time (well Canada as it is my home) What field do you currently work in? I am a Critical Care flight Paramedic and Educator for Stars www.stars.ca What fields have you worked in before? Again I have run a small NGO for the past 7 years, working mostly in Honduras What qualifications do you hold? Medical Instructor in emergency care and disaster planing, Critical Care Flight Paramedic, Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? Skills, because having hands on experience will help in teaching as per experience. Describe the benefits of working with others Learning from them and also finding out new ways to solve problems Describe the benefits of working alone You can do what you like and sometime it can go faster! What was your worst working experience? Working in Indonesia without the support of other NGO's What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? Always look at what you doing and see if you can improve on it! What unique skills do you have? Extremely adaptable What would you consider as your 'dream job'? Working for a non-profit organization that works in Honduras and helps children and families to become more self sufficient What are the most interesting aspects of your field? Helping other, working outdoors and having to think fast to solve problems in the less then ideal conditions! What are the least interesting aspects of your field? I have been doing this for 25 years now and I do believe it is time to move on and follow my dream of working in Honduras. Why am I applying for a positions with an NGO in Honduras I have been helping in Honduras for 7 year and I truly believe it is my calling, so I will follow this dream and whatever I need to do to get there, even I applying for a job on this website that I never saw before!!!!
