Hong Kong is their debt finance regional hub and provides leading capabilities in project finance, structured finance, securitization, syndication, debt capital markets and credit derivatives.The Role
Reporting to the Regional Head of Finance and on behalf of the CIB management, perform financial management, balance sheet management, management control and accounting for the business units in the Greater China region. The finance function is responsible for management and financial reporting for all entities supervised by the CIB umbrella.
Ensure the implementation of Group norms, and establish the basis for their application.
Guarantee the quality of accounting and management data, and the respect of accounting and management rules (local and Group), and in this way the respect of regulatory requirements (at both local and Group levels) throughout CIB. This includes ensuring the financial supervision of entities attached to the perimeters.
Ensure a good quality of the financial statements for CIB entities in the incumbents perimeter, and distribute to CIB management, HQ and local regulators.
Ensure that management reports and activity indicators for CIB entities are implemented.
Provide the necessary information relating to CIB to support the Group's financial communication.
Distribute any data or analyses requested by the Group and the CIB management teams that relate to finance and accounting responsibilities (accounting, management control, financial management, balance sheet management, taxation, etc.).
Contribute to the definition and follow-up of CIB strategies.
Ensure a pro-active tax management of the corporate income tax.
Supervise and develop the finance and accounting teams in the Greater China region.
The Candidate
Qualified accountant with minimum 10 years of relevant finance and accounting experience with a few years spent in a professional firm.
Strong technical skills with in-depth product knowledge such as derivatives, corporate and structured finance, and equity products.
In-depth knowledge in local market practices, local banking and securities laws, rules and regulations for the Greater China region.
Experience in project and change management would be highly desirable.
Good presentation and interpersonal skills.
Fluent in verbal and written English, while Cantonese/Mandarin would be an advantage.
Traveling is required.
