Architectural Visulizer Looking for work in Iceland.What type of job are you looking for? I would love to continue my career in architectural visualization, creating visually interesting images of buildings and there interior spaces from ruff to photo like quality. What nationality are you? Not that I think it matters, I am American born in Canada and hold british citizenship through my father. What languages do you speak (and at what level)? English and bad English. What country or area are you looking to work in and why? Iceland, or any Scandinavian country. What countries have you worked in? Career wise only the united states. What field do you currently work in? architecture What fields have you worked in before? I.T. and some work as a tutor/private instructor of 3d modeling software. What qualifications do you hold?. I have a bachelors of fine arts for computer animation from the art institutes international. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? Hmm I consider skills more valuable, education will only take you so far you need to take what's learned in the field and sharpen your abilities. Describe the benefits of working with others. In my experience it's the advantage of bouncing ideas of each other and critiquing what's being done in a group setting. Describe the benefits of working alone I can hunker down and really dig into what ever project I'm working on. What was your worst working experience? A wishy washy manager who couldn't decide what he wanted for the project, this made my life very difficult as 3d renderings can take hours even days for a polished final image. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? Talk to your co workers, bounce ideas off each other and don't be afraid to ask for help when you really need it. What unique skills do you have? I'm versed in 3d modeling with both 3d max design and SketchUp. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? A full time position taking architectural plans and bringing them to life as three dimensional images. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? Always new technology to study and learn.
