American college graduate, former football player lost 120lbs, ready for IcelandWhat type of job are you looking for? I have experience in sales, customer service, and manufacturing. I am not lost, unstable, or looking for help! This move would be a start of seeing life from a new perspective. What nationality are you? American- Blonde, blue eyed, good looking american! What languages do you speak (and at what level)? English, some French, some Russian, and Some Hungarian! What country or area are you looking to work in and why? Reykjavik, Iceland What countries have you worked in? Just the U.S. What countries do you have a visa to work in? None-willing to obtain any certifications. What field do you currently work in? Accounting department/Manufacturing What fields have you worked in before? Sale, accoutning, and customer service. What qualifications do you hold? Bachelor degree from a Florida University. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? I value a formal education because I believe these candidates are well equipped to deal with adversity. Whether that adversity comes from competition, customer needs, or evolution of industry I want to have confidence in my employee's abilities to adapt. I feel sometimes relying on a few learned skills, however well they are, someone lacks conceptual understanding of business. Describe the benefits of working with others Understanding people needs and adapting to stay in front on competition and branding one's self as a quality provider. I believe that even a complaint is a step in the right direction, just minimize them. As coach told me once- "When i stop hollering at you is when you need to worry because I have effectively given you ZERO chances to improve yourself." Customers will let you know what they want, I am willing to provide it however necessary. Describe the benefits of working alone I am sure there are strengths in solitude, however I have never been pne to need to be alone to increase my abilities. What was your worst working experience? As a part time clerk I was told that I needed to be a "do boy" and just do after asking for a promotion. I am someone who contains an ambitious drive and use all resources to reach my goals. With that said, I learned alot about that experience and I use those lessons still today. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? I have learned to be open to all these both big and small and to adapt fast. I feel as a manager that I should even have a door on my office because there is nothing I need to shut out. Yes, at time privacy is needed but other than those few minutes I am able to talk. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? I believe I am someone who communicates extremely well and has the ability motivate and lead by example. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? As an manufacturing and quality based company we are at conflict with producing price sensitive goods with high quality standards. However, it is through our ability to do that we learn how to spread this capability to other plants. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? None, there is something to learn about every part of our business. Please replace this with a question of your own Why would you leave home, family, business, and friends to live and work in an unstable Iceland economy? I feel that not only meeting but exceeding expectations are on my my strongest qualities. As I have not only graduated with a degree financed by myself. However, I have lost 120lbs and gained a new perspective about overcoming adversity. Having a chance to live and work in Iceland would not be anything but a temporary risk that will transform into opportunity. After applying myself and remaining ahead of any company/industry I find myself I will be poised for success. I have confidence in my ability to create opportunity out of failure.
