I just graduated with a bachelors in cultural studies from university in California. I am looking for work in Iceland, starting in September. I have four years experience as the supervisor in a full service kitchen at the university's restaurant. As well as experience in various aspects of a summer camp (counselor, coordinator, advisor, head counselor, kitchen manager, division head.) I also have experience in research. I am currently researching the role of chimpanzees in American culture for a renowned cultural studies professor.

I'd like to work in a bar or restaurant, as a bartender, bar-back, busser, waiter, dishwasher, or cook. But I will work in any field.

I am fluent in English, and I speak Spanish pretty well. I am also exceptionally funny.

I live in Iceland and can tell you a little bit how it works. First of all, if you are not from an EU country, it will take about 10 months to one year to get a working visa to work here, if it is approved. If you are from an EU country there are no problems. There are so many jobs here it is quite easy to find one quickly. They pay very well but BEWARE! income tax is very high and rent is very expensive as well as hard to find.

If you have waitering experience, you will be able to find a job in a few days.
