KiswahiliWhat type of job are you looking for? I am looking for teaching job, in Kiswahili Language. This is because I have B.A (ED), majoring Kiswahili from The Open University of Tanzania. What languages do you speak (and at what level)? I speak fluently KIswahili and English Languages in University level, and I am expecting to proceed with MA. in Mass Communication after getting this job. What State are you looking to work in and why? I am looking for the chance to work in Illinois State because I believe that I can find good people over there, who are also educated and can support me to achieve my goals. But also I like the place. What field do you currently work in? Currently I am working as a Teacher, Teaching Kiswahili and General Studies in High School at Tanzania. What fields have you worked in before? I have worked as Radio Presenter and Journalist specific in Educational Programs, at Radio 5, Arusha Tanzania for 5 years. What qualifications do you hold? I am holding B.A (ED) from the Open University of Tanzania, majoring Kiswahili and Minoring History. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? I do consider skills more valuable, because some one who is skilled can also be competent and committed to the work concerning with his/her skills. But formal Education is just to meet the requirements regardless of the personal ability. Describe the benefits of working with others To share ideas and get new techniques to tackle life challenges everyday. So, we can win together. Describe the benefits of working alone Is just to get chance to concentrate on what you are doing, and reduce the risk of time wastage. What was your worst working experience? When there were communication barrier with my Boss, then some of the works failed. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? Is that Language is very important link between people of different societies. That is why I am teaching Kiswahili Language so as to connect people from America with Swahili Speakers around the world. What unique skills do you have? The Unique skills I have is Guidance and Counseling, especially for youths. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? My dream job is to become a good and International Swahili teacher, also the Author of some books in Kiswahili. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? The most interesting aspects of my field is to make people communicate easily. Communication for Development. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? Nothing.
