A Graduate in Commerce with First Class Passed the Intermediate Exams of ICWAI ( The Institute of Cost And Works Accountants of India) Now Pursuing the study of CS ( from the INTSTITUTE OF COMPANIES SECRETARIES OF INDIA, an Institute enacted by the ACT OF PARLIAMENT IN INDIA) Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? Absolutely the Skills are valuable. But to master over any skil, the Education gives the required Basic Know How. Hence mere Education without Skill is unuseful and only the Skill without Education would not make one as a Master Describe the benefits of working with others Team work always gives the strength. It is enjoyable once we achieve good results as a team rather than done individually. The Team gives very good morality and attitude towards the organisation's common goals. Describe the benefits of working alone One can work without having any disturbances while performing alone The personal skill of an individual would come to the limelight while working alone. Strong Decisions could be taken without much debate. But my personal view is that for the Corporate levels, Team Work is the best one. What was your worst working experience? I had worked as the Commercial manager in an organisation having more than 6,000 employees in Indonesia and looking after the whole activities of that Composite Textile Mills. But at that time the Financial Crisis erupted in the whole South East Asian Countries and the money has been devalued, IMF was camping to restructure the Banking operations and all the companies were suffocating. I managed with patience to the core, but it was a horrible working experience since meeting the payments without having single penny in hand and without having any hope of further generation and bail out from banks. It was my Worst Working Experience What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? Team Work is inevitable. Decision Making is Important but the Implementation as per the Decision is much more important than the Decision. Keeping Patience with the poor understanding work force would give good results in long run, provided we educate them towards the goals what we expected from them. What unique skills do you have? I am a Master in implementation of Accounting Systems as per the Industry and Conciliation of financial accounting figures with the Cost Accounting. Costing is very important to any organisation since each penny reduced in the cost would give a very good bottom figure in the long run. I am able to chalk out plans fof Cost Reduction Programmes as per the situation and the type and size of the organisation. Budget and Budgetory Controls are in my blood which are the tools of management to maximise the profits. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? The Director- Finance is my dream job in which position I had already performed in 2 to 3 large sized organisations. Now also, I am working as the CFO ( Chief Financial Officer) in a large format multi brand mobile Retail Chain which has 73 outlets and having plans to open about 1,000 outlets in this large country of India withing the next 3 years. And we are working towards that motto. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? Inventory Management is the most interesting aspect which involves the following: 1.Trend of the Market day to day 2.Knowledge about the new technology updation in Mobile Phones 3.Price Reduction on each Model of all the Makes ( like NOKIA, MOTOROLA etc.,) 4.The daily sales of each show rooms and the minimum and maximum stock levels kept in each show room 5.Shelf life of each model of Mobile Phone and the aging of the handsets to be noticed and action to be taken. We trace the age of the handset on the shelf by tracking the IMEI number There are lot of things and facts to be added which would increase the length of this summary. What are the least interesting aspects of your field?
