What type of job are you looking for?

I am looking for the job where i can work for the betterment and conservation of wildlife, preferably In situ conservation.

What nationality are you?

INDIAN

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

English and Hindi- i have full command on both.

What country or area are you looking to work in and why?

anywhere in India for the time being because it is my native country, but as I'll grow in my field, I'd love to work in other countries as well

What countries have you worked in?

I am a fresher, so i have to start the work, haven't worked anywhere till now

What fields have you worked in before?

i haven't worked anywhere before, but i have a 3yrs certificate course in cell biotechnology.

What qualifications do you hold?

i have BSc hons. degree in zoology, currently i am pursuing MSc in Zoology which will be completed in dec'2011, my dissertation is in the field of wildlife conservation.

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

both are valuable. the formal education gives the proper knowledge of the subject while skills give the ability to apply that knowledge into useful work. its the combination of the two which makes the work perfect.

Describe the benefits of working with others

the teamwork gives the better output . the people with different skills when work together, the task not only becomes easier, but it also becomes more accurate with the expertise of people with the knowledge of different subjects and training of different skills.

Describe the benefits of working alone

working alone makes sure that the information and the work is under supervision and responsibility of single person, it decreases the chances of the errors due to carelessness.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

i have yet to start my professional career

What unique skills do you have?

writing skills (poems, quotes and articles), making speeches and good presentations, photography, and ability to walk miles together in one go.. i can also do some decorative art work. general skills include the basic computer and internet applications, communication and convincing skills and making healthy contacts. hardwork and dedication for the work can be counted as qualities.

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

working for the habitat conservation, specially wetland management where i would be able to create better environment for wetland birds (local and migratory), is my dream job.

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

The pleasure of bird watching and photography of the beautiful creatures make our fiels very interesting. and the zeal of saving the environment and nature, conserving the species, preventing the extinction of vulnerable species and the satisfaction following the successful attempts make it more special.

What are the least interesting aspects of your field?

sometimes we have to live in the villages with no sanitary facilities and a lot of insects which sometimes cause fatal diseases make it difficult, otherwise there is nothing uninteresting in our field.

What do you expect from your employers?

All i expect from my employers is that they accept me and treat me as the part of their own organization, help me learn from them and give me the valuable advice to make my work better. and i'll try my best to fulfill all their expectations and do my work as perfectly as possible.
