What type of job are you looking for?

I am lookin for a job concerned with aviation, managing the airside, carrying out inspection of runway,apron and providing follow me services to aeroplanes and also experienced in airnavigation, communication, meteorologyand as a whole airfield safety and security .

What nationality are you?

I am Indian.

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

I speak English, Hindi and malayalam.

What country or area are you looking to work in and why?

I am looking forward to work in any european countries or Middle east. to explore myself by working in an International airport and to prove my loyalty and workmanship.

What countries have you worked in?

INDIA

What countries do you have a visa to work in?

Presently, I am not holding any visa.

What field do you currently work in?

I am working in Bangalore International airport (India) as apron controller (airside) imposing rules and regulations acording to ICAO and IATA in the airside.

What fields have you worked in before?

For the past 20 years, I was working in Indian airforce as aerodrome supervisor,pre-flight briefing supervisor, runway controller etc.

What qualifications do you hold?

I am post graduate ie: MA in Public Administration with diploma in Management and have vast knowledge of runway and apron as learnt from Indian airforce.

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

skills. the continuous experience and the skill is very much required in aviation as we have to take immediate decision which doesn't require any formal education and the decision making is considered which may save a major incident or accident.formal education wil not help in complex actions.

Describe the benefits of working with others

As I have worked with different peoples with different cultures and different languages in Indian airforce, I have learnt to have team work and to get succeed where the defence is given a lot of importance and also to live with discipline which is given the priority anywhere else in the world.

Describe the benefits of working alone

The benefits are, you can have more concentration and there will not be a single stone unturned and you are confident that the job is completed upto the perfection. You can answer the authority with confidence that ,Yes the target is completed with the utmost care and also we can understand the individuals calibre. That is why Psychometric test itself is conducted to find the individuals performance where the candidate is alone.

What was your worst working experience?

My worst experience was, when I was working supervisor of Rescue and fire fighting services in Indian airforce One of the Helicopter crashed on runway in front of the Air traffic control. Immediately we proceeded to the site Crash fire tender and immediately the extinguishing medias were used to put off the fire. Both the pilots were rescued and shifted where they were saved.

After the accident, court of enquiry was conducted as initial investigation and the procedures folowed. But the resuce team was not appreciated or commended which would have given us motivation. but no one had asked about that. Being the leader of the team, I approached the higher authority. but in vein. After this incident, I took voluntary retirement and joined another airport feeling uneasiness to work there for not getting any word of phrase.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

I have learnt that even if you are the head of the whole team, you should always consider their workmanship and it should be brought into the knowledge of the authority their weaknesses as well as as their skills.

What unique skills do you have?

I can take immediate decisions with humour, never accepts disloyalty and reacts immediately. once if I feel that the colleague is honest, I will extend my hands upto any level to help him.

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

My dream job is to work in aviation field and manage a team where my opinion is considered and I can prove that team work is important and with proud we could say that our organisation is the best .

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

Direct link with the pilot as well as airtraffic control, making decisions at the spot and discussing later about the failures and successes.

Wjat are the least interesting aspects of your field?

Even after maintaining a /standard operating procedures , the employees are not going to through the same and making the same mistakes again and again.
