I am an Indian. What languages do you speak (and at what level)? I can speak, read and write Punjabi, hindi and English. I can read and speak a little German too. What country or area are you looking to work in and why? I am looking to work in Singapore because its the most urbanised country in the world and English is widely in demand there for teaching. What countries have you worked in? nowhere yet. What field do you currently work in? I have just completed my postgraduation in English literature and am looking forward to work in Singapore. What fields have you worked in before? I have worked as a content writer and process advisor. What qualifications do you hold? I am a postgraduate in M.A English literature from Delhi University. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? Well, I think that one acquires skill through education so skills come later and formal education is a basic requirement to hone them. Describe the benefits of working with others Well as a team one learns to co-operate an also get to learn from different perspectives thereby, gaining more insight. Describe the benefits of working alone By working alone one can focus on the ideas better than in a company. What was your worst working experience? well, it was related to transportation issues when I used to travel atleast 5 hours a day, it really was a tiring thing. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? As such I have not worked much to be able to say that yet, but for whatever time I have worked I have learned that people respect you when you work diligently. What unique skills do you have? I can speak English fluently and write well. I can teach the students by making study interesting for them to learn and not a rote learning. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? To teach English as a professor at National University of Singapore. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? Well, the literature itself is the most interesting part. The English history, the way it developed and its influence on other countries' literaure. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? To remember the dates and periods of particular author and works is tiresome and exhaustive. What are your hobbies?
