Jakarta (Indonesia)as my family is living there. What countries have you worked in? I have worked only in INDIA. What countries do you have a visa to work in? I can work in any country. There are no restrictions. What field do you currently work in? At present,I am working as Head, Sales & Marketing in a Firm dealing with Customized Software & Web Applications and Services. What fields have you worked in before? I have also worked as Senior Manager in a Company manufacturing Steel Structural Items & Products for Ministry of Telecom, Railways & Defense (Govt. of India). What qualifications do you hold? I am a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics.Also done Diploma in Computers and Certificate Course in Computer Hardware. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? Formal education as well as skills-both are imperative to grow in any area of the career. Still, learning all skills to effectively manage a job help to move ahead firmly for any person- with or without any formal education. Moreover, Hard work and a positive attitude give an edge to all those who strive for success, especially for those without formal education. Describe the benefits of working with others The benefits of working with others are immense. Some of those are highlighted as given below:- 1. Using different skills,knowledge and personal attributes, more ideas can be generated leading to better results. 2. Individuals working as a team to achieve a common goal creates more energy and enthusiasm. 3. In a team, a huge range of skills are available that can be utilised to deliver extraordinary results. 4. By splitting up a project in a team, the tasks are managed effectively and completed timely. 5. In a team, other members can act as a 'sounding board' during selection of various options for decision making. 6.The team members provide support and encouragement during tough times, and that makes a great difference. Describe the benefits of working alone Working alone gives you full control on the inputs and outputs of the efforts. When success is achieved, it is all yours! What was your worst working experience? My worst working experience was when a Client backed out from a huge order, even after paying good amount as security deposit in advance, due to his sudden financial problems. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? I have learnt that no one can except ourselves can ever take us across the sea of life's troubles. We have to accept everything that life offers us at various stages, without complaining. A bigger trouble always leads to better solution and great learning experience. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? All jobs with fair chances for growth,satisfaction, learning and happiness are dream jobs, irrespective of the place and type of job. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? The most interesting aspects of Sales & Marketing are that there are universal laws that are applicable to all businesses,trades and professions. There are common ethics to follow in order to win over old and new Clients and best among them are being honest with the Client and having a feeling of satisfaction for all after a goal is achieved. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? Till the goals are met, nothing seems good! What is the best and worst of these times? First the worst. Sadly, honesty and integrity are becoming rare, leading to confrontations at almost all levels. Best part is- soon we might create some technology to find out dishonest, mean, corrupt and dangerous people, just by screening them through some Laser machine and then eliminate them by just pressing a button!
