Seeking software engineering position in Tehran

What type of job are you looking for?

Software engineering primarily using any of C++/JavaScript/VB.NET/C#.NET/x86 assembly language and additional technologies including SQL, MFC, ATL, COM, XML, AJAX, .NET, TCP/IP, WinSock, Windows API

What nationality are you?

American refugee who fled the USA

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

English - native French - a little bit from 4 years of high school instruction Arabic - very little and actively learning

What country or area are you looking to work in and why?

The Islamic Republic of Iran as it is the most compatible fit due to the culture, moral and religious views. The city of Tehran is likely best due to the availability of jobs in the computer industry.

What field do you currently work in?

Unemployed

What fields have you worked in before?

Software engineering

What qualifications do you hold?

BS in Computer Engineering from Lehigh University - May 2005 Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) - July 16, 2004 Microsoft Certified Application Developer (MCAD) .NET - August 5, 2004

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

I consider skills more valuable as the culture of formal education though useful is not as strong a motivation for true learning and passion.

Describe the benefits of working with others

Team work allows for much more progress than an individual alone can accomplish. Correct ideas, methods and strategies for software development come about in a fast manner with a good team.

Describe the benefits of working alone

Independent work allows for self-motivated and directed learning and can help divide the work flow up efficiently.

What was your worst working experience?

Endless glitches on computer systems that I used for development that caused me to waste hours of time attempting to fix what appears to be sabotage by other employees possibly working for intelligence agencies.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

Work with a team that you are trulyl apart of and can trust.

What unique skills do you have?

Reverse code engineering, x86 assembly language and details of Windows API

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

Software engineering job primarily in C++ development.

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

Finding unique solutions to challenging and complicated problems.

What are the least interesting aspects of your field?

Mundane and repetative tasks.

What do you enjoy best about development?

Critical thinking, analyzing problems and coming up with perfect solutions while getting approval of coworkers and management.
