What type of job are you looking for?

Welding, all phases. Weld inspector. Maintenance.

What nationality are you?

American

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

English - proficient

What country or area are you looking to work in and why?

Iraq or Kuwait. I am looking for the opportunity to earn comparably to my experience and performance.

What countries do you have a visa to work in?

USA. But I can obtain a visa to work any where.

What field do you currently work in?

Maintenance for restaurant. Welding all phases and all types of metals

What fields have you worked in before?

Welding, carpentry, plumbing, minor electrician, minor a/c units, fitting/designing, weld inspectors, blue print reading, operating fork lifts, 5-ton cranes, drill press

What qualifications do you hold?

At present, none. Previously employed by US government at Charleston Naval Shipyard. All certifications through US government.

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

Skills show a person's experience. How they evaluate and solve emergency or non-emergency situations depends on a level of personal experience. Completing tasks with materials on hand in non-ideal situations requires experience. Education tends to always deal with "ideal" situations.

Describe the benefits of working with others

Always learning more than what I know.

Describe the benefits of working alone

Being able to get the job done as fast as I can without baby-sitting another person who may not know or understand his job.

What was your worst working experience?

Working 225 feet in the air welding 8" I-beams for Brown & Root in Pinebluff Arkansas. Cutting 12" steel pipes apart at a chicken factory with maggots coming out of the pipes. Working in a septic tank clad welding on a submarine.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

Always make sure that you get paid a good price for the jobs that you do and always try to work for a company that treats its employees equal and fair.

What unique skills do you have?

Welding-Tig, Mig, Stick, Automatic - on all types of metals in pipe and structural. Carpentry. Artistic. Ability to do a job quicker than a normal welder to meet standards of any inspection. Reading x-ray films on welds and inspecting welds. Plumbing. Mechanical. Electrical. Making parts for vehicles or any object from various metals without a blueprint.

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

Welding inspector.

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

I can do a job quicker than a lot of people half my age.

What are the least interesting aspects of your field?

Welding is very hazardous for the human body, but if job is done right, it's not so bad with the right safety equipment.

What are your other interests?

Gardening, surfing, martial arts, painting artwork, studying people, building.
