Formal education or skills and why? Although I have both, I consider skills to be more valuable because those will count a lot more in practical situations. Describe the benefits of working with others INCREASED EFFICIENCY & SPEED If properly allocated, each team member will do what it does best, the final result the working total. Suppose that a project needs research, pulling together a proposition, financing it, implementing it and delivering specific benefits. If one person was allocated this task, it could take months and maybe years to make it happen. By splitting up the project, work can move forward at an impressive rate. This also makes it faster to reach a final goal. SATISFACTION, HIGH MORALE Individuals working together as a team to achieve a common goal are continually developing. As each team member interacts with one another more energy and enthusiasm is created. When this energy is put into use, it produces results, which positively impacts motivation and leads to even more success. SUPPORT & BACKUP When people work together in a team they tend to build bonds between each other. People will often go to what seems like extreme lengths when they know that they can rely on the support and encouragement of the team. Never underestimate the significance of this in achieving results. ENCOURAGEMENT, MOTIVATION When a group develops there can be a process of mutual encouragement. The support of various talents and abilities can produce an extremely productive team. When ones strengths can support another's weakness encouragement can evolve. INNOVATION & RESEARCH When successful teamwork prevails, innovation increases. It's true that two heads can be better than one. Members of a team can brainstorm for solutions together; working out the kinks in project plans to reach goals more efficiently. Research also can be done faster and more efficient. UNITY One of the most valuable benefits of teamwork is the sense of unity that accompanies a positive work environment. By implementing this sense of unity, it can promote a sense of togetherness. This can create a mentality of "all for one and one for all," which is good for the goal of the organization. CREATIVITY Everyone has different skills, knowledge and personal attributes. By utilizing all of these different aspects in a team, more ideas can be generated. As more ideas are generated, more creative solutions are generated, leading to better results. Describe the benefits of working alone DECISION MAKING I get to decide what,when,where, how much, how ofter, etc. If I want to radically change something, then I can do it. No one can veto me and I don’t have to run it by anyone. PERFECTION & RISK Everything I do is mine. It’s my job, something I do. It may sound selfish, but it’s important to have something that’s purely your own to keep the ego happy. And I usually do it perfect.
