Paramedic seeking Overseas LocationWhat type of job are you looking for? Paramedic and/or clinical admin. What nationality are you? American What languages do you speak (and at what level)? English What country or area are you looking to work in and why? Iraq or Afganistan…to support local armed forces and civilians requiring care. What field do you currently work in? Self-Employed What fields have you worked in before? EMS; Biotech; Pharmaceutical What qualifications do you hold? State Paramedic Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? This is a loaded question. Skills without formal education may be hazardous to the safety of all. Formal education without skills may also be hazardous and rendered useless in the field. A combination of both is obviously ideal, but skilled would be preferred if the choice is to be made. A skilled person would be able to adapt and acquire the education necessary to excel in the field. Describe the benefits of working with others Teamwork among independently capable personnel is a primary benefit to all co-workers and to the recipients of medical care and/or the end product of the team. That said, working together harmoniously is the ideal. Describe the benefits of working alone When called upon to work and/or act alone is critical to survival. Reliability, confidence and precision is achieved from one's capability to work alone and unbiased assessment of one's action in this situation. What was your worst working experience? Behind a desk and isolated from performing ones duty. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? There are no absolutes. Life is too short and should be lived. Honor is earned and integrity is the compass in life's journey. What unique skills do you have? If I do not know the answer, I find a way to get it! What would you consider as your 'dream job'? Where the reward is giving a second chance to those who may have lost hope. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? Each day is different then the next with every day with an opportunity to learn something new. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? The quiet times.
