Master ElectricianWhat type of job are you looking for? I am seeking a position as an electrician or electrical teacher. I am a Master Electrician and am just shy of my associates degree for electrical engineering What nationality are you? I am an American citizen What languages do you speak (and at what level)? I speak english and a little Hijazi and Egyptian Arabic. What country or area are you looking to work in and why? I am looking to work in Iraq. I believe I can help. What countries have you worked in? Egypt, Saudi Arabia, France, Iraq. What countries do you have a visa to work in? None have been applied for at this time. What field do you currently work in? Electrical. What fields have you worked in before? Security at Embassies, Communications in the military, Air Control in the military, and the Electrical field. What qualifications do you hold? I have a Master Electrician license from Illinois. I have experience living and working with people in the Middle East. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? Skills. There is nothing more valuable than the skill to complete a given task, especially in the skilled trades. You still need the formal education to give solidity to your claims. The only way to get that is to spend time in the classroom. This is where you learn electrical theory and calculations. It is in the field that you prove the theory and learn how to do the work. Describe the benefits of working with others There is no way better to accomplish a task than to do so with a team. Each person on the team can give valuable insight to each task at hand. Describe the benefits of working alone When working alone you may not feel as if your rushed and you can question your own actions in order to make yourself better. What was your worst working experience? When working on a transformer placing it where it needed to be, getting the conduit run, installing the wiring and turning on the power. Then after all this work was done finding out it was a bad transformer. Then having to spend all that time removing and replacing the transformer with another. I found this frustrating because all of the time spent on the first transformer cannot be re-couped What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? Safety is first. I don't care how fast something gets accomplished, if someone gets hurt because your rushing and you forget to make something safe, then it is just not worth it. What unique skills do you have? I am an extremely good electrician with an education as well. These coupled with the fact that I speak a little Arabic, make me a very good asset. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? Teaching my skills to younger people someday. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? Electrical theory. There is so much to learn in the electrical field that you can always learn something new. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? At times your sitting and waiting for answers. Please replace this with a question of your own When can I start? How can potential employers contact you? vitoxxtrudy@comcast.net 847-977-9205 |
