Dear Sir/Madam, My name is Javier Carrasco-Valenzuela. I am 27 years old. I am from Spain and have recently completed a social work degree at the university of Bradford ( United Kingdom). I have a special interest in researching into the field of immigration. My main purpose is to contribute to the improvement of the mechanisms geared towards helping immigrants and their families settle down in their new countries. Please, find attached my CV for further details about my background.
Proffesor Rami Benbenishty of the school of social work of the university of Bar IIan has tailored a study project for me with the propose of studying how guest workers in Israel are involved in their childrenīs school. I would like to thank him for his encouragement and support throughout all the stages of the creation of the above project.
The main reason why I would like to go to Israel is because I find this country fascinating. Its rapid development in a short period of time and the coexistence of cultures and people appear to me as a great opportunity to enhance my personal and professional development. Above all, the fact that Israel is the Holy Land makes Israel be an unique place in the world to come to the roots of my spiritual existence. At the same time, living in Israel would put me in a privileged situation to contribute to enriching the relations between Spain and the Jewish culture. Given the history of the Jewish people, there is a special interest to study in Israel how foreigners (guest workers and refugees) are being treated and feel when they care for their children in school.
I would appreciate if you could inform me of any possibilities to work for an NGO which would help me to pay the cost of my stay in Israel . If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at my e-mail address
I will look forward to hearing from you.
YoursSincerely,
Javier Carrasco Valenzuela
