From my experience, working with others expands the knowledge of each individual so that we may better apply our collective wisdom to the benefit of our children.

I find that I am able to focus better on specific tasks when working alone.
What was your worst working experience?
I once worked at a girls' home for runaways and my first night on the job, one of the teenage girls started a fire in the house after everyone had gone to bed. It was frightening but no one was hurt and later on the girl repented and became one of the most productive members of the group.

The most interesting aspect of my field is seeing a child, that is serious minded about learning, grow and change over a period of time.
Wjat are the least interesting aspects of your field?
It is naturally frustrating if and when you see a child, who for any number of reasons, may not show interest in their education. Though this can be a challenge, it is not one that I will shy away from.
What character trait do you find most valuable in those in your field?
Honesty is a number one priority, followed closely by patience. We, as teachers, must be honest with ourselves and each other so that we can learn and grow. We must always exercise patience when dealing with each other and with children because the children learn not only from the teaching material but from the teacher herself.
