Spa Massage TherapistWhat type of job are you looking for? I would like to work in a resort or spa as a massage therapist. I also do hot stones, lympatic drainage, reflexology, facials and bodywraps. What nationality are you? New Zealander What languages do you speak (and at what level)? I speak english and also a small amount of Italian. 15 years ago I spent 6months in Firenze and loved it so much and have always dreamed of returning. What country or area are you looking to work in and why? Anywhere in Italy. What countries have you worked in? I have worked in London and New Zealand. What countries do you have a visa to work in? Unsure. What field do you currently work in? I currently work at Cape Kidnappers Spa, Hawkes Bay, New Zealand. It is a luxury boutique Spa. What fields have you worked in before? I have some experience in the Hospitality Industy but mainly doing massage etc.. What qualifications do you hold? I have certifcation in Massage, Reflexology and onsite training for facials, bodywraps, lymphatic drainage. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? A balance of both. It is important to have education but it is what you do with it that is the deciding factor. Describe the benefits of working with others I enjoy working with others as there is always something to learn. Describe the benefits of working alone You are able to focus better. What was your worst working experience? I have been lucky not to have had one. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? To treat people with respect and curtisy. What unique skills do you have? I can remain very calm in stressful situations - and I enjoy working hard. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? To be appreciated for my skills and to be near the sea. What job would you never do? Never really thought about it - perhaps fly a plane without experience would be a bit terrifing.
