Managing position at the VaticanWhat type of job are you looking for? A managing position working at the vatican. What nationality are you? I am an Indigenous Australian Catholic What languages do you speak (and at what level)? English and my own Indigenous Language which is Dharawal Language. What country or area are you looking to work in and why? Italy, Rome, Mostly the Vatican, because I believe I could learn a whole new experience in working in a Catholic environment that would enable me to become more strong in my faith. I am also a teacher and I am currently studying my Bachlor Law and would like to major in Canon Law of the Catholic Church. What countries have you worked in? None, but I long for experience to work and live in another country. What countries do you have a visa to work in? None at the moment but will apply. What field do you currently work in? Education. I am Head of Aboriginal Perspectives from Kindergarten to Year 12. I also deliver Staff Development for my staff, so that they become more aware about Aboriginal Education. What fields have you worked in before? Youth Work. What qualifications do you hold? Bachelor of Education and Diploma in Child Science and currently studying LLB Bachelor of Law. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? Actually, I think both hold great importance, but I would say at this time my Bachelor od Education as I am still completing my Bachelor of Law. I want to major in Canon Law, of the Catholic Church. Describe the benefits of working with others I think the beauty is that working with other people in another country gives you a whole new experience on life. Describe the benefits of working alone I work great alone, as it suits me more, but I also work great as a team member. You get more done when you work alone, I've found from experience. What was your worst working experience? Working with people who you can not get on with and made the work place unpleasant. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? Don't take everything so personal. Take everything on as a working ethic. What unique skills do you have? I communicate very well and I am very artistic and musical. I guess talented in many areas with a creative mind. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? Working for the Pope at the Vatican and living there full-time as a Canon Lawyer as a personal advisor. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? I bring to my field an Indigenous perspective and a creative style in what I do in a perfection. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? There is none I've come across so far.
