Nursing Assistant What type of job are you looking for? Looking for a job that will allow me to provide care for various clients, and to bring comfort to them in their home or in a nursing home setting. A job that will promote privacy,self-worth and respect to all clients and there families. What nationality are you? I am Jamaican_ Canadian What languages do you speak (and at what level)? I speak English(fluent) What country or area are you looking to work in and why? I am looking to work in Jamaica in the Mandeville area or May Pen ( Clarendon mainly) Because i am familiar with this area. But willing to relocated within the Country. What countries have you worked in? I have worked in Canada What countries do you have a visa to work in? I am not quite sure but Canada for sure. I still have an Jamaican Passport so i guess i could obtain my trn easily in Jamaica What field do you currently work in? I am currently working as a Nursing Assistant in the community and in a facility( Nursing Home) What fields have you worked in before? I have worked only as general labour, however i have a diploma as a Social Service Worker(Counselor, Intake Worker , Case Worker. Ect). What qualifications do you hold? I have a Diploma as a Social Service Worker and a Diploma as a Personal Support Worker(Nursing Assistant) Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? I firmly believe that both education and life long skills are valuable, because they intertwine with each other. I think without education one would not know the value of the skill if obtain without some basic educational background. Well base on my experience i became aware that been educated about a subject or a particular thing makes a big different.rather than someone who goes about the same subject or thing without any education or experience(Skills) Describe the benefits of working with others The benefits of working with others is that you get to develop skills of working in a team as well as to work with others base on their differences. Working in a team allows you to be mindful of others, to be helpful and not to be competitive among the team members. It helps to identify people in the group skills such as team leader, team player a mediator in the group and others who can work under pressure. Describe the benefits of working alone The benefit of working alone is that when you use your best skills in a particular job or project you get the credit you deserve and on one can be upset at you because you work hard and it paid off. Your skill would be self motivate , self reliant and accountability to get work done. What was your worst working experience? My worst working experience was not having enough supplies to do my daily duty at work and having my client been put into a uncomfortable state. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? I have learnt that excellent community and listening skills plays a big part into patient care. Along with providing privacy and confidentiality What unique skills do you have? My most unique skills are First Aide And Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Workplace Hazardous Information Service and Crisis Intervention Prevention Certificate Excellent Time Management Excellent Interpersonal skill Exception Listening skills Very Reliable and Trustworthy Motivated and Hard working Individual Ability to work in team as well as Independent What would you consider as your 'dream job'? My dream job would be working for the government in a Hospital or a company that is well rounded(benefits) What are the most interesting aspects of your field? Well the most interesting aspect for me is communication with the client putting a smile up on their faces and try to understand things from there view stand.( try on be in there shoes) Empathize with the clients and working in groups. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? The least interesting aspect of my jobs is repetitive documentation of the client daily logs( Most of the Question asked the same thing and i have to answer all of them. Why should i hire you over all the other applicant? You should hire me over all the other applicants because i have the skills and experiences that would be required to work as a Nursing assistant and i am a life long learner and wolud be an asset to your company.
