Japan- I was born in Japan so in some levels I feel at home their. I work as a program manager for an international NGO that deals in building I.T capacity for NGOS in third world countries. we are currently operating in Tanzania What fields have you worked in before? I used to be a very famous singer in Tanzania What qualifications do you hold? I have a diploma on MASS COMMUNICATION and P.R. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? skills. I have met alot of people with formal education who do not know what to do with all the knowlegde they have because they lack the skills to know how to use their fomal education. but I have met skilled people who make due with the skills they have. Describe the benefits of working with others When we work with others we learn that we sometimes can over look great ideas or flaws that can be fixed . one person can only do so much! so when we work around other people we get the benefit of sharing creativity and also sharing the burden to reach a bigger goal Describe the benefits of working alone when working alone you don't have to be nice to anybody you can just work at your own speed and avoid any disagreements, naturaly when there is more than one person their are bound to be disagreements every once in a while What was your worst working experience? As program manager I am responsible for my employees to some extent. I had appointed someone to take care of something and he did not deliver as expected so I ended up taking the heat for it. from then on i closely over look all the work we do to avoid that incident What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? I learned to always put in more effort even when i feel i have reached my intended goal because their is always a better result. What unique skills do you have? I can sing. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? My dream job is any that helps me work with different communities in the world everyday What are the most interesting aspects of your field? working with the community, doing something that actually makes a real difference in the world, What are the least interesting aspects of your field? sitting behind a desk are you good at your job?
