I am predominately looking for areas in Japan that need restructuring from the earthquake. my expertise in contruction in high seismic areas would be very useful to the reconstuction process. Formal education or skills and why? Skills! Skills are far more valuable. Typically formal education for any tradesman is taught from an out-of-date instructor with out-of- date techniques. Having has the expierence to work with experienced carpenters all across canada and throughout 30 states in the USA, has done far more for me then any text book could ever do. Describe the benefits of working alone Less time giving explainations and more work being completed, What was your worst working experience? working in Cedar Falls Iowa in the winter of 1997, minus 57 celcius with the wind chill factor What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? handling yourself in a respectfull maner, maintaining your intigrety,and working hard with a level of intesity, are the key ingrediants to sucsessful leadership What unique skills do you have? Having built in every buiding zone in North America, having led large crews (50-85), having a vast understanding and knowlegde of consruction in high siesmic zones What would you consider as your 'dream job'? doing what I currrently do overseas What are the most interesting aspects of your field? production, tangible product at the end of each day, prefabrication and the quest to be faster and more efficent at each new start What are the least interesting aspects of your field? I would chalk up the least interesting aspect of my job to be the down time that ensues while waiting for the concrete truck to show up at pourings.
