Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

I believe they go hand in hand. A task can not be efficiently completed with out the proper skills, however skills are useless if the person with the proper skills isn't assigned to the appropriate task. Formal education will help you find more options to solve a task.

Describe the benefits of working with others

Working with others is great for motivation and ideas. A strong connection between peers also leads to higher job satisfactions.

Describe the benefits of working alone

For smaller more simplistic tasks working alone is more efficient, no need to explain or consult just do it. Of course, some jobs are bigger, or trickier, this is when working alone is more difficult.

What was your worst working experience?

I was put in a situation without the proper tools, support and knowledge. When I did not finish the assignment on time my boss hung me out to dry in front of other coworkers.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

People just want to be informed. I have found that most people are generally understanding and will even offer to help when they are well informed in frustrating situations. Ignoring problems and hiding details only make bad situations worse in the long run.

What unique skills do you have?

I thrive on change and adapting to stressful situations. I have a unique ability to connect with people from all aspects of life. These abilities help me communicate with project owners and deliver the specifics that they desire.

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

Fast paced construction job with a company that would give me the opportunity to travel the world to build for people in need.

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

Working with people from all aspects of life. I've had meetings with high ranking executives and officers in the U.S. Army and spent lunch with immigrant workers who risked it all to make a better life for their families. I've learned from everyone I have ever met in the construction industry.

What are the least interesting aspects of your field?

Repetitiveness. I prefer to be on the go and face a new challenge everyday.
