Project management, setting up and managing contact centres What qualifications do you hold? UK Higher National Diploma in management, Prince2, Microsoft Access intermediate Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? Both are equally important. Formal education gives a solid foundation to build skills upon. Formal education also opens more doors in the employment market as the lessons learned are often transferable to a variety of work streams and jobs. Skills alone can make a person an expert in their field but in a global jobs market can make it difficult to broaden a persons skills. Describe the benefits of working with others I see the major benefit of working with others is that you can learn new ways of working and sharing best practice. It is also the best way to overcome problems that may arise in the workplace. Describe the benefits of working alone The benefits of working alone can be that you can be totally focussed on a task without interuption. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? To measure success. Whenever new processes or new ways of working are put in place it is imperative to have some form of measurement in place. Have a specific metric so work can be evaluated and improved. What unique skills do you have? I am very open and honest. I find it easy to establish good relationships with people within the work place or when socialising. I am excellent at building and developing teams and individuals so they are empowered to carry out their jobs to the very best of their ability. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? I have two answers to this. 1) To go into a failing company and turn it around and make it very successful. 2) To work with my family so I can spend as much time with them as possible. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? When analysing data and seeing what can affect performance. I find good quality and performance are dependant on so many factors in the workplace that to maintain a high level of accomplishment it is necessary to ensure all work areas are performing to the very best they can When are you available to commence employment if offered a position? I can start as soon as possible. I am moving to Amman with my family in August but I can start work before that date.
