| Answers: Could Pay Stubs From My Own Business Constitute Criminal Forgery/Fraud I am looking to purchase a new automobile this Fall. After completing a credit application, I was approved for financing (w/ down payment) of up to 20K because of my income; the car I want is 31K. I own an LLC in the State of Kansas (which I didn't mention to the lender). If I were to create bi weekly pay stubs using QuickBooks or some other legit software naming me as an employee of this company to increase my monthly income, is this criminal or just civil if I were to get caught? How would I get caught? And what is the likelihood this would work? I'd only create pay stubs from my company to adjust my income from my legitimate job of $2, 000 a month to a combined monthly income with my own business (w/ fake paystub) to $2, 800 Please no BS answers and please include detail.
