| Article: Government Job Cuts Affect Kansas While considerably lower than the national average, Kansas unemployment rate remained at 6.5 percent in July. Even at 2.6 percent lower than the U.S. average of 9.1 percent, Kansas' rate is unusually high for the state. The Kansas Department of Labor said the rate remained at 6.5 percent even after a 1.4 percent increase in construction in July.Read the complete article here: |
