| Can you help me with a question on earning my college degree in TN and in KY? I am finishing up my associates now (psychology) and plan on getting my bachelors and my masters. I started in psychology because this is an interest to me. I have alot of things that I want to do and I cant decide on one thing. I was interested in doing therapy for those with brain injuries or neurological disorders, also wanting to help youth with mental disabilties. I seen some jobs besides these that require social work degrees like working with youth and teens but not necessarily in mental health. In a few other positions I seen they are for psychologist. So now I am confused on what I need to do -- do I continue in psychology or do I need to change my major to human services. Psychology is my passion but I havent lived in TN for long, morristown to be exact. Are there are of jobs in Kentucky and Tennesee for all the positions that I have stated that I would be interested in? Also is a human services degree equal to a psychology or is one considered to be better than the other to potential employers? Also with a Masters can I be a psychologist in either state and what are the procedures and requirements? I know its alot but I need help with this and I need it soon cause Im working with my counselor at school to make all the choices but she is sorta leaving everything in my hands.... I know the descision is mine but the reasearch and answers too?! If its better to email you can at message4ladonna@hotmail.com thanks! |
