I am looking for an accounting job with companies applying real accounting skills and procedures such as production,manufacturing,construction and the likes. What nationality are you? I am a Kenyan. What languages do you speak (and at what level)? I fluently speak and write in English and Swahili. What country or area are you looking to work in and why? I would wish to work in Kenya for the time being because it is more convenient to me now that I don't have a visa to any country and I can adapt very well in the whole country because you cannot restrict yourself to one area when your job requires you to relocate. What countries have you worked in? I have worked in Kenya alone. What countries do you have a visa to work in? I have no visa to any country. What field do you currently work in? I am currently an account assistant working in a very busy micro-finance institution. What fields have you worked in before? I have been a tutor before in CPA and I have also worked as an accounts clerk for an insurance agent cum boutique and salon. What qualifications do you hold? I have completed K.A.T.C FINAL and have done CPA up to CPA section 4 currently studying for a refer in taxation. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? Both are valuable.Formal education because it gives one the basic idea on a particular field and actually opens the doors to formal skills.However,Formal skills are more valuable because they are the one that actually drive the work and economy at large. Describe the benefits of working with others It is beneficial to work with others because one gets to learn new things from others and they too from you.It is also important to know that one can't live alone hence the need to mingle. Also, we all know that two are better than one and that one plus one is greater than two meaning that combined efforts of more people are more economical and fruitful. Describe the benefits of working alone When working alone ,one seems to concentrate more hence accuracy.It also averts cases of disruption by others hence no time wastage. What was your worst working experience? My worst working experience still clicks in my mind when I remember the day some particular assets of the office were stolen after a break in.I had to follow the pursuit the following day all along with no meaningful help from the police force.I had received the bad news at around 6.30am,went out to follow up and went back home at around 8.00pm having had eaten nothing the whole sunny day. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? To be honest and do your best you can. What unique skills do you have? I can work independently with all due honesty. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? Being a Chief Executive Officer of a successful company has always been my dream. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? I like the aspect of managing a portfolio and meeting the budget.you just feel proud of your job. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? I honestly don't like monotony. What achivement have you ever gotten and what does it mean to you? I once worn an award with K.A.S.N.E.B in Business Statistics, something that has made me believe in hardworking to succeed.
