Job searchWhat type of job are you looking for? A proffessional deejaying job. What nationality are you? I am a Kenyan by birth. What languages do you speak (and at what level)? I speak swahili, fluent English, kikuyu and embu. What country or area are you looking to work in and why? I am looking to work in Kenya because its my home and i believe as a deejay,Kenyans know how to go out and have a goodtime so i feel a sense of accomplishment when i see them enjoying themselves to my mixes. What countries have you worked in? Mostly in Kenya. I have done alot of roadshows in many different regions and also wedding events and concerts. What countries do you have a visa to work in? Just Kenya, i havn't gone abroad on business but just pleasure:) What field do you currently work in? I work for an entertainment company based in thika, I do roadshows and functions like weddings,private functions and concerts. We also organise events that have so far been successful. Our audience and clients seem to enjoy our work very much. What fields have you worked in before? I like to be spontaneous because i can work with all kinds of music. I work with companies like safaricom and orange on advertising roadshows, weddings, club scenes, and private functions among others. What qualifications do you hold? I have done my primary and advance dejay classes at X-Hoods School of Entertainment. I currently mentor the new students in the same institution... Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? Personaly, i have gone through both forms of education and i see life being the better teacher so i would have to say skills.:) Describe the benefits of working with others Teaching one another new skills and growing together to give better results, like they say,two heads are better than one.:) Describe the benefits of working alone I dont think there would be much advantage. What was your worst working experience? When my collegue mistook my Cd bag for his when i was still an ameature at this and i had to freestyle at the wedding with a very different playlist from what i had prepared. I was so distraught. But amazingly i did quite a good job. Atleast the bride dint cut my head off with the cake knife. :) What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? I learned to be nobble and open to new ideas as a secret to growing in this line of work. What unique skills do you have? That you have to hear for yourself and judge. Trust me you will not be disappointed. I have alot to offer:)... All genres What would you consider as your 'dream job'? The sky is my limit... I want my name to be known for the skils i know i have What are the most interesting aspects of your field? Its open, its fun, and its for all ages and genders... Music never discriminates.:) What are the least interesting aspects of your field? When i have gigs scheduled the whole day and night,it gets exhausting but i always pull through How will you impact this field if you get thus far?
