What type of job are you looking for?

I am looking for a job that will first of all make me feel fulfilled and happy at the end of the day,one that i will be helping most people i attend to as i interact with them and one that will make me a better person by offering me opportunities to learn and experience new things everyday as i work.

What nationality are you?

I am a Kenyan.

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

I speak English and Swahili fluently.

What country or area are you looking to work in and why?

I am looking for a job in Kenya and abroad(excluding Iraq).In Kenya as i will be helping my own people and as christian,i will be helping all people of God as in Kenya but most importantly i will experience new and diverse cultures of the world thus better myself.

What countries have you worked in?

Kenya only.

What countries do you have a visa to work in?

None.

What field do you currently work in?

Currently none,i just finished college.

What fields have you worked in before?

I have worked in the medical field as a VCT counselor and in the NGO sector as a volunteer dealing with HIV, Orphans and first aid especially with the Kenya Red Cross Society.

What qualifications do you hold?

I have a Diploma in HIV AIDS control and management and a certificate in VCT counseling and Community Health Assistant/Nursing assistant.

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

Skills are more valuable because they help one act and respond to present situations e.g if i just finished college with no experience or skill at what i have learnt and someone else has the skill at hand or the experience, that person will be of more help when that skill is needed.(i have answered according to how i think formal education is but i am not sure about my interpretation of formal.)

Describe the benefits of working with others

Working with others helps one learn new things,improve interpersonal skills and relationships,handle and have unconditional positive regard to different individuals and improve better the outcome of services offered due to cooperation.

Describe the benefits of working alone

Working alone helps one exploit his or her ideas without fear of intimidation from colleagues or having to inconvenience anyone thus being able to evaluate one's work,ability and failures at the end of the day.

What was your worst working experience?

Working in a hospital as a student nurse with senior stuff who leave there responsibilities to you and blame you at the end of the day.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

Patience and unconditional positive regard for all clients patients and colleagues helps you work efficiently and achieve at the end of the day without guilt and regrets.

What unique skills do you have?

Organizing and arrangement. Listening and empathizing,though sometimes sympathize.

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

A job in a hospital or whatever sector,taking care of sick people from the time they are ill to there recovery.

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

Seeing the person you have been taking care of happy and well,especially during discharge from the hospital. Meeting different people from all walks of life and different conditions and knowing how they are dealt with especially when working under a very caring registered nurse and doctor.

What are the least interesting aspects of your field?

seeing someone die in your care or agonize due to ailment when you have done the best you could and still be of no help.
