Looking for a JobWhat type of job are you looking for? I am an environmentalist and so I'd prefer a job in this line of service. What nationality are you? Kenyan What languages do you speak (and at what level)? I'd say my English and swahili are excellent and my French is good. What country or area are you looking to work in and why? Kenya or any french speaking country. Kenya, because charity begins at home. I want to work here and build my country. For my french, am also willing to venture into the french speaking countries so that I can test myself. What countries have you worked in? Just Kenya. What countries do you have a visa to work in? None but I can make arrangements to get one for Canada or Germany. What field do you currently work in? I am not engaged currently What fields have you worked in before? In the past I have work for NGOs dealing with Environment,Water and sanitation, Economic empowerment of the people and Education of the girl child What qualifications do you hold? I have a bachelors degree in Environmental Sciences Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? Please allow me to say both. This is so because for all job adverts I have seen they are all vital and people have been disqualified for the lack of the other. Describe the benefits of working with others This gives an opportunity for people to learn from others as they interact and also provides a benchmark for self assessment.No one knows it all and so this' an opportunity for him/her to learn from colleagues that which s/he doesn't know. Describe the benefits of working alone Working alone eliminates all sorts of interference that may come from other people. This gives one ample time for one to do that which s/he knows best without interference. What was your worst working experience? We were working on a cash for work programme by the Government of Kenya Where by we were managing a group of 500 youths. One day these youths came to our offices demanding for the sacking of my boss and I was the only person they wanted to listen to. This was my worst experience as there was this feeling I was behind this saga when really I was innocent. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? One finger can not kill a lice. Only team players succeed. What unique skills do you have? I am good at Report writing, Photography, Leadership, Researching, Communicating, and I have excellent interpersonal skills. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? Sitting at the helm of UN. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? Interacting with nature.Think of the beautiful sceneries and their faunal and floral composition. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? I think I love my field 100 percent. Having these aspects would imply am in the wrong field. I love every bit of my field. What attracted into being an environmentalist? I think it is in the blood.
